Uniting Energy and Sport: The Green Alliance on AEK BC’s Jersey

The Green Alliance, SUNEL Group’s newest initiative dedicated to the energy and technology transformation of sports, cultural, and other high-impact venues across Europe, proudly announces its appearance on the official jersey of AEK BC for the 2025–2026 season.

This milestone marks the latest development in the growing strategic partnership between SUNEL Group and AEK BC, which began with the renaming of the Ano Liosia Olympic Hall into SUNEL Arena – the first ever basketball venue in Greece to receive an official naming sponsorship.

Now, with SUNEL’s logo on the front and The Green Alliance logo on the back of AEK BC’s jersey, this collaboration goes far beyond a traditional sponsorship. It reflects a shared commitment to sustainable progress, responsible innovation, and community impact – both on and off the court.

“AEK BC stands for resilience, respect, and progress – values deeply aligned with our own,” said Mr. Miltiadis Zygouras, Chairman of SUNEL Group. “Through The Green Alliance, we aim to show that sports can be a powerful lever for sustainability, technology adoption, and long-term societal value.”

An official launch event is being planned to unveil the new jersey and introduce The Green Alliance to a wider public. This will not be a typical ceremony. It is envisioned as a platform for dialogue around the role of sports in sustainable development, innovation, and the future of infrastructure in Europe. Panel discussions with thought leaders, technology innovators, and key stakeholders will frame the event.

As SUNEL Group continues to expand across 11 countries – jincluding offices in Athens, London, Milan, Valencia, and Bucharest – The Green Alliance serves as its flagship platform for bringing clean energy, smart technologies, and ESG-forward solutions to arenas, stadiums, and community venues across the continent.
